We’re thrilled to kick off the summer season at Lowell Summer Music Series with the one and only Ben Folds. From his early days with Ben Folds Five to his impressive solo career and charity work, he is an incredible songwriter, performer, and artist that we are proud to bring to the stage.
From a big splash in the 90s with hits like "Brick," to his solo career which has been just as impressive, he’s known for his piano-driven sound, clever lyrics, and a knack for blending humor with heartfelt storytelling. His solo albums, like "Rockin' the Suburbs" and "Songs for Silverman," have earned him a dedicated fan base and critical acclaim. More recently, Ben has been busy with projects like his memoir, "A Dream About Lightning Bugs," and composing for orchestras around the world.
On top of being a fantastic musician, Ben Folds is also a dedicated philanthropist. His charity, "Keys for Kids," provides music education and instruments to underprivileged children, helping to inspire the next generation of musicians.
We’re excited to announce that Ben Folds will be bringing his Paper Airplane Request Tour to Lowell on June 21st. During the show - the "Paper Airplane Request Tour"- fans will get to make song requests by sending paper airplanes to the stage. It’s going to be a fantastic evening of music, community, and fun. With his infectious energy and undeniable talent, Ben Folds is sure to start the season with a bang, setting the stage for an incredible lineup of performances.
