As our 35th summer of the Lowell Summer Music Series draws to a close, we are filled with gratitude and pride. Each year we are reminded how special it is to be part of Lowell’s vibrant cultural community where festivals, theater, and live music bring people together in the heart of downtown.

This season overflowed with unforgettable moments:

Gaelic Storm kicked things off with foot stomping energy, featuring hometown fiddler Natalya Kay, a past Banjo & Fiddle Contest winner.
Los Lobos and Darlene Love brought legendary performances, with Darlene’s show gracefully moved indoors thanks to our generous friends at Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
EagleMania delivered classic hits performed by some of the finest musicians we have ever hosted.
Galactic had the crowd dancing as we launched our first ever Beer Garden on French Street, an exciting new tradition we cannot wait to grow.
Grace Potter gave us a cinematic moment, playing her encore through a warm summer downpour to the cheers of devoted fans.
KALEO returned with their Iceland meets blues sound, a one of a kind experience.
• August sparkled with Americana brilliance from The Wood Brothers, Sierra Hull, and Josh Ritter, showcasing the artistry we treasure.
• Our 44th Annual Banjo & Fiddle Contest found a welcoming home at Merrimack Repertory Theatre when weather challenged us.
• September wrapped with family fun as Let’s Sing Taylor returned, and Big Head Todd & the Monsters closed the season with rock and roll power.

Behind every show are the sponsors, city partners, artists, agents, neighbors, volunteers, and dedicated crew members who make it all possible. Running a nonprofit concert series in 2025 is no small feat, and every ticket purchased, donation made, and slice of pizza enjoyed helps sustain this beloved tradition.

Thank you Lowell for your steadfast support over the past 35 years. We cannot wait to share exciting news about our 36th season in the months ahead. Until then, keep supporting live music here at Boarding House Park and wherever you may roam.

With gratitude,
The Lowell Summer Music Series Team
